Titanium Oxide
[Applied Field]
- Functional ceramics: Sensor, capacitor, thermistor, varistor.
- Photocatalyst: Electron-hole pairs are formed by ultraviolet
light. They react with the O2 and H2O adsorbed on their surface
and generate hydroxyl free radicals, which make organics
oxidative-decomposed into water and carbon dioxide. The sulphur,
phosphor, and nitrogen atoms containing in the origin organics
are transformed to inorganic salts, such as SO42-,
PO43- and NO3-.
The harmfulness is reduced and even completely eliminated.
- Plastic, coating, chemical fiber: Preventing UV radiation
through optical scattering effect, protecting UVA or UVB. They
are transparent, non-toxic and efficient, which are applicable
to the products such as sunscreen cosmetics, anti-ultraviolet
fibers, exterior wall coating and plastic films.
